Director and writer Rama Burshtein’s new film The Wedding Plan is a comedy and drama produced by Assaf Amir. The movie follows a 32-year-old woman Noa Koller (Michal), an Orthodox Jewish woman, who is finally looking forward to the comfort and security of marriage when she is blindsided by her fiancé’s decision to call off the wedding with only a month’s notice. Unwilling to return to lonely single’s life, Michal decides to put her trust in fate and continue with her wedding plans, she books a venue, sends out invitations, and buys a wedding dress as her skeptical mother and sister took on with trepidation.
The film stars Amos Tamam, Noa Koller, Oz Zehavi, Jonathan Rozen, Udi Persi, Irith Sheleg, Dafi Alferon, and Oded Leopold. The movie was filmed from Israel and in the Hebrew language. It is also known as Through the Wall by Roy Edri as the music director. Noa Koller has won an Ophir Award for Best Actress and she has starred in movies like Youth (2013), and Urban Tale (2012). The movie’s storyline is attractive and Noa Koller’s character is well displayed. There might be a twist in the movie due to the fact that this is not a Hollywood romance, but it is interesting.
Avi Chai Fund, Gesher Fund, Norma Productions, Keshet Broadcasting, and Rabinovich Film Fund Cinema Project are the production companies. Roadside Attractions will distribute the movie in the USA and Digital Post Services.
The movie will be released on 12 May, 2 September 2017 in the USA, 27 October in Israel and 16 December in UK and Ireland.
