Directed by Luca Guadagnino, I Am Love reveals the drama of a respected woman (Tilda Swinton) and a mother of three children who develops a spring of love for another man while engaged to a rich family in one of the prestigious families. It has been 20 years since she (Emma Recchi) left Russia.

Upon one day, she is intrigued into an unlawful relationship with a chef called Antonio who opens her eyes yet leading her astray. The film is written by Barbara Alberti and Ivan Cotroneo. It stars Tilda Swinton,         Rippo Delbono, Marisa Berenson, Flavio Parenti, Alba Rohrwacher, and Edoardo Gabbriellini. The movie also stars Tilda Swinton’s daughter as Emma.

The movie was also produced in two other official languages that are; Italian and Russian. Actress Tilda Swinton had to learn both languages before filming started. The film premiered at Venice Film Festival before it was later released in theatres.

Tilda Swinton also produced the movie alongside Marco Morabito, Luca Guadagnino, Alessandro Usai, and Francesco Melzi d’Eril. “I Am Love” title was derived from La mamma morta a film that stars Denzel Washington and Tom Hanks.

I Am Love received positive critics both from the public and film producers. The movie presents a sensational kind of love alluring one into realistic observations. The idea of the Recchi family received more credit. The film was also nominated at the 68th Golden Globe Awards for Best Foreign Film, but lost it.

Tilda Swinton and Luca Guadagnino have collaborated on a number of movies such as, Tilda Swinton: The Love Factory (2002), The Protagonists (1999), and A Bigger Splash (2015). Luca Guadagnino is an Italian film director and is yet to release some of the 2017 most anticipated movies. “Call Me By Your Name” has secured 24 November as its release date. The romance movie talks about a young boy who falls for a girl. They start up a relationship only for them to meet their fears along the way

Director Luca also brings horror and mystery film “Suspiria” where a young girl joins a renowned Germany Ballerina school and finds the evil secrets underneath it. Both Luca Guadagnino and Tilda Swinton have worked on major projects in the movie industry and they also have a strong work-related relationship.
